The Slaley Hall Golf Club is one of the best golf courses in Newcastle, or indeed the whole of England . It’s a par 72 championship course that measures 6,482 yards from the off-white tees that can prove to be quite a challenge for any golfer. The course has been awarded 4 stars from the English Golf Union , with its championship tees being at the forefront.
There are varying tees available at The Slaley Hall Golf Club to cater for most golfers. However, you don't need to be an expert golfer to enjoy the course as you will be able to find a tee that suits your ability. The greens are very smooth, and the course itself is in great condition all year round.
The Slaley Hall Resort also hosts an array of golfing tournaments throughout the year, including the John Smith’s Cup , which is one of the largest amateur tournaments in Europe. There’s even a Junior Golf Academy that hosts a jim-jam event for children of all abilities, and they are taught by professionals. You can hire golf buggies for each course and book in advance for the available tee times. You must wear the appropriate golf attire for each course, which any avid golf would understand and follow the active guidelines.
