PGA National (Championship Course)

With fast running fairways, undulating greens, extreme run-offs, and 70 strategically placed cavernous bunkers, this championship golf course poses a unique challenge with its inland links appearance. The PGA National is quickly establishing itself as one of the best golf courses in the United Kingdom, hosting two European Tour events. It is a must for golfers who appreciate the ingenuity needed for links golf, as it is recognised by the PGA as a world-class tournament course and the only PGA golf course in England.

The Brabazon Course

The Brabazon Course is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful and challenging stretches of golf in the UK. It's listed in Golf World magazine's top 100 best courses and set against the stunning backdrop of The Belfry, this is a course that offers both a challenge of immense proportions and magical holes.

The Derby Course

The Derby is a parkland golf course with panoramic views of the Warwickshire countryside, strategic bunkers, water hazards, and well-designed risk-reward holes. It provides a gentle challenge for players of all skill levels. The course, which was designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, necessitates precision from the first tee, strong club selection, and smart course management.

The Belfry Hotel and Resort boasts 319 bedrooms and suites, 2 restaurants and 2 bars, 22 conference and event suites, a state-of-the-art leisure club and a luxury spa, PGA golf academy, onsite golf shop, and 3 world-class golf courses, The Brabazon, PGA National, and The Derby, which are all set in 550 acres of North Warwickshire countryside.

The Belfry Restaurant and Bars provide superb dining in four unique venues, including Sam's Club House, which shows the latest sporting action on big screens. The Ryder Grill serves a relaxed lunch and dinner menu with views of magnificent fairways. Also situated on site is the Sam’s Bar & Grill with an exclusive private viewing area to watch golfers during all their drama on the course.

The Spa & Leisure Facilities

The Leisure Club features a fully-equipped gym and a pool, sauna, and solarium where guests can relax. Our unique Fire and Ice experience includes a tranquil journey through 12 bio thermal rooms and the spa offers a range of luxurious treatments and therapies to include within a delightful spa day with a partner or friends.

Car Parking

No denim/jeans are allowed. All shirts must have a collar or a mock neck and must be worn tucked in.

Do I need a handicap to play at The Belfry?

There is no handicap restriction for The Derby golf course. Rules of Golf and The Belfry Golf Course Etiquette must be adhered to at all times.

Is The Belfry dog friendly?

Sorry, dogs at The Belfry are not allowed. But don't feel like leaving Faldo at home! Details on all of the other pet-friendly hotels in Wishaw can be found here.

How many courses are at the Belfry?

There are three golf courses at the resort. The largest tournament course is the Brabazon Course, and the PGA National and The Derby are the others.

What is the best course at The Belfry?

The Brabazon course at The Belfry Golf Club was always going to be a difficult act to follow, but it was handled by the PGA National Golf Course. Indeed, some consider the PGA to be the highest Belfry layout. This offers a severe test, but the broad greens are a pleasure to put on.
