Amendoeira Golf Resort has two championship standard golf courses which are constantly ranked within the top 100 courses in Portugal. The Faldo Course was strategically designed by the major winner, Sir Nick Faldo. Faldo used the dramatic landscape to his advantage and managed to put together a really classy course that can be played by every golfer and present a good test to even the best of golfers. It won the title of Portugals best golf course in 2016. The O’Connor Jnr Course was designed by Christy O’Connor Jnr, like the Faldo course, it takes full advantage of the landscape at Amendoeira. It has many water features that are strategically placed around the course to make you really think about what shots you are hitting. It demands good ball striking and accuracy, you must avoid the hazards to shoot a good score around this course as they are extremely penalising.
The lush fairways and stunning palm trees make you feel like you are playing a tour standard golf course, once you play it once, you’ll never forget about it and want to play it again. The greens are tricky and you need to really study them to avoid the big numbers, with many subtle contours it is easy to miss reading them. You also have a 9 hole academy course which is floodlit, one of the only floodlit courses in Portugal. Ideal for beginners to learn the trade, take advantage of the shorter course to brush up on your short game.

The Amendoeira Golf Resort is made up of self-catering villas and a clubhouse. The clubhouse is located in the centre of the resort.
