Pinehurst (No.7)

The no.7 golf course at the famed pinehurst resort, designed by rees jones in 1986, might not be everyone's first preference, but it's a demanding and at times exciting layout that is inevitably eclipsed by no.2.

The no.7 course was constructed on the site of a former nine-hole course designed by donald ross for pinehurst's employees.

Tiger woods captured his only pinehurst title on no. 7 in 1992, when he led the major i junior classic from start to finish. After billy andrade, woods is just the second junior to win two insurance youth golf classic championships.
