Poggio dei Medici Golf Club

Italy

Poggio dei Medici opened in 1992, measures 7,114 yards from the back tees with a Par of 73 and is one of the finest golf courses in Italy. Designed by the architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and by the golfer Baldovino Dassu, it was built to USGA standards. Poggio dei Medici was immediately recognised as The Best New Golf Course in Italy. It was recently selected by Conde Nast Traveller for its Hot List Best Golf Club ahead of the likes of The K Club in Ireland and Greenbrier in the USA.

The golf course, set in the Mugello Valley, sheltered by Apennines, offers five different starting tees for an exciting game for all levels of golfer. In Addition to the golf course, the Poggio dei Medici Golf Resort offers an extensive driving range complete with short game practice areas and there are PGA instructors available for private or team lessons.

The course is open all year round and was host of the Ladies Italian Open from 1999-2003. The golf course is 30 km from Florence Airport and 90 km from both Bologna and Pisa Airports ensuring there are plenty of ways of accessing this fantastic golf resort in Tuscany.
