The links course at belle mare plage on mauritius' east coast is the more open of the two 18-hole courses at this exclusive destination. The legend course, which is strictly for hotel guests, first opened in 1994, followed by the links course eight years later.

The links course was designed by rodney wright and peter alliss, and it is used every year for the mcb tour championship pro-am as well as an mcb invitational tournament that takes place before the season-ending european senior tour event on the legends course.

The links, which measures 6,498 yards from the back tees and features water on six holes, is somewhat shorter than its older sister. The 4th and 17th holes are both short par fours, but the best hole is the par four 18th, which finishes amid the glistening waters of bras requin bay.
