Omaha Beach Golf Club - La Mer

Omaha Beach golf course is a 36 hole layout on the coastline with a pair of lovely 18 hole golf courses with spectacular seaside and countryside views. The two golf holiday courses La Mer and Le Manoir are different in style yet of a similar quality although La Mer is the preferred Championship course of the members.

The golf club is close to the ports of Caen and Cherbourg and, as the name suggests, is located in the heart of the World War II D-Day landing beaches and is also close to the town of Bayeux. The signature hole on the Mer course is the 6th hole, a dogleg with the green on the cliff edge overlooking Port-en-Bessin, with spectacular views over the harbour and the infamous coastline. The Manoir course runs further inland and is better suited for higher handicappers with a more generous layout.

There is a great hotel on-site overlooking the golf course, the Mercure Omaha Beach, which offers some great value stay and play packages.
