Golf du Medoc Resort

France

Medoc is one of the best 36-hole golf resorts in France. The two golf courses have justifiably hosted European Tour events over the years and continue to attract visiting golfers to the region.

Les Chateau course is a must for golfers who appreciate a tough challenge. It has been ranked as the best golf course in France at the World Golf Awards in 2016. It is similar to a traditional Scottish links course, with its wide fairways lined with heather, gorse and broom. Its fast greens, technical difficulties and the winds off the nearby Atlantic Ocean, make it a real challenge.

Les Vignes is considered by many to be a better course than the older Chateaux course and the argument has been ongoing since the course opened in 1991. Also ranked in the Top 100 European golf courses, it is classified as a woodland course and there are plenty of hazards to navigate. As with its sister course, the greens are excellent, just not as undulating. The two courses together provide one of the most attractive golfing propositions in the region.

Both courses are part of the Golf du Medoc Resort, a superb all-around domain which is ranked as one of the ten best golf resorts in Europe. Add to this the world famous wine and scenery and Medoc is a destination not to be missed.
