The Welcombe Course

England

Set in 157 acres of rolling parkland, the welcombe is a real joy in the warwickshire countryside. It mixes the charm of a jacobean house with contemporary conveniences, making it an ideal location in every way. The clubhouse has a lounge that offers refreshments as well as a brasserie that serves tasty food and has excellent views of the course. A pro shop with a wide range of tools is also on hand, as well as a host of various tuition packages. With its lakes and rolling hills, this par 70, 18-hole championship golf course measures 6,288 yards and is a difficult course for the professional and exhilarating for the beginner. Three par 5 and five par 3 holes make up the revamped course, which is uncommon. The 16th hole, a par 5 that measures over 500 yards uphill, is the signature hole. The hole features a short tee shot with water on the left; it is heavily bunkered, and even the longest hitters would fail to reach par.
