Royal Latem Golf Club

Belgium

Royal Latem Golf Club was founded in 1909 on a private estate and was originally named Les Buttes Blanches after the flowers growing on its ancient dunes. It was later renamed Royal Latem and then remodelled by Fred Hawtree to give this fine course its current design.

The golf course is surrounded by private villas and is quite tight and will certainly favour the thinking golfer rather than the long hitter. The terrain is quite flat apart from a few sandy ridges that run through the course and give it a degree of undulation. The course is well cared for and the greens are in excellent condition.

It has been host to the Belgian Open three times and more recently has hosted the Alps Tours in the fifties. There are improvements still being made to the golf course, enabling players to enjoy a beautiful course all year round. Royal Latem Golf Club is a high-class golf club and a worthy addition to your golf itinerary.
