Nestled amid East Cork’s woodlands, the luxury 5-Star Castlemartyr Resort is a destination richly steeped in Irish history and tradition. Situated on 220 acres, Castlemartyr Resort consists of a grand 18th Century Manor House that sits adjacent to the ruins of an 800-year-old-castle.
With a storied history that includes Strongbow, Walter Raleigh, the Knights Templar and more, the Castlemartyr Resort was officially opened for guests in 2008. Over the years the grounds and buildings have been tastefully updated, they have been magnificently restored and elegantly enhanced to offer 108 guest rooms and suites, along with 36 luxury residences.
Fine linens, luxurious soft furnishings and quality amenities are the hallmarks of each guest room at this five-star resort where every modern comfort and convenience awaits you. All the rooms & suites are generously proportioned and range from a very generous 500 sq ft to an expansive 3,000 sq ft.

Set in an old manor estate in East Cork, The Castlemartyr Golf Resort is an 18 hole, 6,728 yd, Par 72, inland links style course. It is the creation of renowned golf course designer Ron Kirby, whose credentials were honed on such Irish masterpieces as the Old Head, and Mount Juliet, as well as Gleneagles in Scotland. In Castlemartyr Mr. Kirby has developed an inland links style course that creates a visually pleasing yet testing experience. The course is designed to be challenging and pleasurable for players of any calibre. Castlemartyr Golf Club provides first class service across all aspects of the golf spectrum, from the course, to the Club House and Pro Shop.
