Get to know Andrew "Beef" Johnston

How did you get the nickname “beef”?
I got my nickname by a good friend of mine when I was 13. I had a big head of curly hair and he said to me "You got a meat head. Like a big bit of beef on your head" and it stuck!

What’s your favourite golf course in the UK?
Royal Birkdale. But there’s so many I love!

What’s your favourite Golf course in Europe?
Valderrama I guess, It’s just pure and difficult.

What’s your favourite golf course in USA?
Pebble Beach for me. I loved how brutal oakmont was to.

Who is your best buddy on the tour?
I get on well with pretty much everyone, but Matt Southgate I get on well with. Richard Mansell, Chris Paisley...hard to choose one!

What’s your lowest ever round and where was it?
Lowest was 10 under on challenge tour in Slovakia.

Who is your favourite all time Golfer?
Has to be tiger! We won’t see that kind of genius again.
